The Blue Zone Strategy: Inspired by the book the Stress Prescription, by Dr. Elissa Epel, PhD, we focus on “mind states” in this evening class, learning and practicing ways to downshift the nervous system into a deeply restorative “blue mind” state at key times during the week.

Many people suffer from "The Sunday Scaries", that creeping anxiety about the week ahead. And by Thursday we are usually in need of some recovery from the week so we can enjoy the weekend with vitality.

Instead of worrying about Monday or ruminating on the week’s challenges, The Blue Zone transition will provide deep restoration for better stress resilience. This session includes breathing exercises, guided relaxation, meditation and flow state education and execution. By practicing deep breathing and relaxation techniques together, we improve two critical (and measurable) markers:

HRV (Heart Rate Variability): A higher HRV means your nervous system is flexible and resilient.

Resting Heart Rate: Lowering this before bed ensures your heart doesn't have to work as hard while you sleep.
